چکیده
Comprehensive eigenmode characterizations of ion-temperature-gradient (ITG) instabilities in slab geometries with different magnetic shear profiles are investigated using an eigenvalue method. The results the uniform configuration verified via Hamaguchi–Horton theory [S. Hamaguchi and W. Horton, Phys. Fluids B 2, 1833 (1990)]. However, it is interestingly found that linear growth rate mode frequency change non-monotonically as at half simulation domain s(x < x0) changes continuously from positive value to negative value. There multiple peaks dependence curve on weak regime. variation shear, which can produce additional potential well excite instability, identified play important role maximization ITG modes. In a moderate separation between two wells, modes higher radial wave numbers l become unstable simultaneously. While |s(x x0)| compared local = center rational surface, asymmetric structures low-order eigenmodes obtained high-order tend be localized wells. Additionally, surfaces further decreases, high-order-l would stabilized. low-order-l present surfaces.

seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...

Anomalous transport caused by plasma turbulence has long been a central subject in research on the magnetic confinement fusion. Ion temperature gradient (ITG) driven turbulence is considered to be responsible for the anomalous ion heat transport in a core of magnetically confined plasmas. Kinetic and fluid simulation studies on the ITG turbulence transport have been actively done in the last de...
متن کاملCharacterizations of Network Structures Using Eigenmode Analysis
We introduced an analysis to identify structural characterization of two-dimensional regular and amorphous networks. The analysis was shown to be reliable to determine the global network rigidity and can also identify local floppy regions in the mixture of rigid and floppy regions. The eigenmode analysis explores the structural properties of various networks determined by eigenvalue spectra. It...
